Hello community 👋

I’m Daniel, a Product Manager at Personio working out of our Amsterdam office.

We’re looking to speak to and learn from customers about their performance calibration processes and experiences. Find more details below 👇

What’s our objective?

We want to make it easy for you to improve the fairness and accuracy of your managers’ performance assessments, without having to resort to messy data exports and spreadsheets.

What do we need your help with?

⚠️ Disclaimer: we’re in the early stages of research and development, and the scope is liable to change.

In general, we’re looking into developing tools that help you:

  • Facilitate calibration conversations between HR business partners, supervisors and senior leadership.
  • Capture the results of calibration conversations
  • Report on the results of the calibration process

So we’re looking to understand your past experiences, solutions you’ve used (or created), and your expectations and preferences for an ideal solution.

How can you get involved as a customer?

We’d love to talk with you if you work in a people / HR related role, and you have experience with running a calibration process at an organisation with 200 or more employees.

Hi @daniel.boon - to confirm/clarify you are referring to meetings that involve L&D around removing bias (unconscious and conscious) at say application, interview, promotion, performance review scenarios.

Blind listening, re-spoken words to gauge if the same response gets a different score/response?

Thanks for the question @JHBEM.

We’re looking specifically at the calibration of managers’ performance assessments in performance reviews.

That usually involves meetings where managers discuss their reviews of employees with other managers, typically facilitated by HR or a HR Business Partner.

I know this closed over a year but have just received really good feedback from an employee regarding the feedback function.

Right now when sharing feedback you have the option to also share the feedback with the employee’s supervisor. It would also be helpful if the employee has the option to share this feedback with the supervisor even if the person giving feedback forgot to tick the box.
