Employee API: Retro-active changes not available

Hey, 

 

we have been working with Personio for quite some time and are using the Personio Employee API to retrieve data and currently calculate a “manual” history using dbt snapshots. The reason we do it: there is currently no way (to our knowlege) to retrieve the correct history with the active / effective from dates via API.

Is there any plan or idea if or when the historical employee attributes will become available in an API?

PS: Using Reports for this purpose is not a scalable solution, because a human then always has to think about creating and sharing the report with the data team. This is not sustainable.

you’re right, it’s currently not possible to retrieve historical entries with the application /effective date of an attribute change. At the moment it is not planned to introduce this some time soon. It would be great if you could submit this as a feature request directly to our product management via Support > Share feedback in Personio 🙂
